A heartbreaking story is being reported out of Mexico City. A young bride named Tatiana Mirutenko has passed away after being hit by a stray bullet.
Tatiana,27, was on a belated honeymoon with her new husband when she passed away. The pair had just finished enjoying a night out dancing and dining when they stepped out of a club. At that moment, two men on a speeding motorcycle drove by and fired their weapons, randomly striking Tatiana.
The couple had been having a wonderful time in the city before the incident occurred. Now, her loved ones are left devastated.
"They ate at Pujol and Quintonil, among the top-rated restaurants in the world, and Mirutenko texted her parents photos of the food, the ornate churches and even dogs at a local park in Lomas de Chapultepec, a privileged part of the city where billionaire Carlos Slim owns a mansion," reported Fox News.
Tatiana's death comes at a tragic time for the country. She has become one of the 16,399 homicides recorded in the country in the first seven months of this year. Now, American tourists are taking notice. The country is changing and danger seems to be filling the popular tourist hotspot.
“She loved the culture, loved the people,” said her father Wasyl Mirutenko, who owns a security company in Chicago. He told The Post that his family had vacationed in Mexico — in Puerto Vallarta and Oaxaca — since Tatiana was a little girl. “I don’t really care,” Mirutenko told the New York Post when asked about Tatiana's killers getting caught. “Whatever happens, it will not bring her back.”
Our hearts go out to Tatiana's family during this difficult time. Please join us in praying for her family, and her new husband, during this tragedy.
