“Christian Siriano designed this dress. He came to my home and did the fitting. He is the sweetest person I know. He made me feel special. [and]For my body. I feel like a princess, but I also do feel like a little bit of a bad bitch,” Lynskey gushed during an interview with E! on Monday, September 12, 2012, on the red-carpet. “It is so fitted and my husband [Jason Ritter] said, ‘That’s sexy.’”
The drama series, which received six nominations for the awards show, also stars Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Ella Purnell, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy brown, Sophie Thatcher Samantha Hanratty.
Yellowjackets is about a group of teenage passengers who were involved in a 1996 plane crash and the aftermath. The show was quickly praised by critics as well as fans after its debut in November 2021.
The Emmys have nominated the show for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Direction for a Drama Series, and Outstanding Writing for Drama Series. Lynskey (45), was nominated as Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series. Ricci, 42 was nominated as Misty.
Lynskey said that she slept through nominations on purpose, just before the big night.
“I just was so nervous. I’ve always heard of people sleeping through and I was like, ‘Bulls–t! Wake up and watch it happen.’ And then I just couldn’t. I was like, I don’t really want to see that unfold. I think I just want somebody to tell me if it happens,” the actress, who plays the adult version of Shauna, told Vanity FairIn July. “I want someone to get a text, and if it doesn’t happen, then I want to be able to sleep in.”
The Candy star also praised Ricci for her own nod, adding, “Honestly, I didn’t really breathe until I saw that Christina had been nominated.”
Lynskey said that it was an honor to be able to witness the spectacle. Family Values of AddamsAn actress is recognized for her hard work. “When [I heard about]Christina, I have just started weeping. I love our cast so much,” she added. “I wish every single person could’ve been nominated. My heart kind of hurts for everyone who wasn’t, but I’m just so thrilled for Christina. She’s so weird and so great in that role.”
Ricci opened up about Lynskey being the first person she spoke to after hearing the exciting news. “Melanie was one of first texts I missed this morning when I was oversleeping. And one of the first people I texted back,” she told Entertainment Tonightthe same month. “All of us always keep in touch. I heard from each of them this morning. So, it’s been really lovely.”
