WWE Legend Passes Away Unexpectedly, Wrestling World in Tears

Pro wrestling legend King Kong Bundy has passed away. WWE confirmed his death at only 61 years old.

Bundy was best known for battling Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 2. According to TMZ, details surrounding his death are unclear.

Bundy was a massive wrestler who dominated his opponents. He was 6'4" and 458 pounds.

He made his WWF debut in 1985. A year later, he was booked to fight Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match at Wrestlemania 2 in 1986.

Bundy lost the match, but it made him a star. Afterward, he booked national commercials and even had cameos on huge shows like "Married with Children," "Weird Science" and "Boy Meets World."

Fans of the wrestler are already taking to social media to mourn his passing. Hulk Hogan remembered his opponent in a touching tweet.

"Overwhelmed by King Kong Bundy’s passing, only great memories,R.I.P. big man until we meet again," he wrote.

Others have also paid tribute to Bundy, whose real name was Christopher Pallies.
