The world of professional sports draws a lot of attention and fame. Fans love to see their favorite athletes compete and win, especially if they have the chance to do so live at the event.
Sadly, a disturbing news story recently emerged from the wrestling world of WWE. A fan claimed to have snuck a gun into the arena and was promising to shoot himself during the event.
TMZ reported that the man, who goes by Jason Sensation online, tweeted out an ominous message Monday afternoon, saying ... "I got my gun through security & will shoot myself in the head & kill myself during tonight's #RAW in Toronto. Don't ya dare miss it!!! Thanks for the memories @WWE."
Research found that Jason actually has a history with the WWE. He apparently sued to be employed by the organization.
"Jason has some history with WWE -- he portrayed wrestler Owen Hart during a comedy skit in the late '90s. His Twitter bio also said that he's battling depression. Law enforcement sources tell us Toronto PD is aware of Jason's tweet, and is currently looking into the matter," reported TMZ.
Fans, as well as WWE affiliates, have tried reaching out to Kason on Twitter and sending him support in hopes he will change his mind and seek help.
"Multiple people in the WWE community -- including ex-WWE writer Vince Russo -- have been reaching out to Jason, pleading with him to reconsider and refrain from any potential violence," reported TMZ.
