A truly sad, and shocking, news story has just been reported on Friday afternoon. According to multiple reports, a world famous pastor was just arrested and on a felony charge for allegedly beating his wife.
Michael Ketterer is well known in the Christian community. He is a worship pastor for Influence Church and a husband and father. He rose to world fame when he recently competed on America's Got Talent.
He made it to the finals but ultimately lost to an incredible magician. Just hours before he was set to perform, Ketterer took to social media to pay tribute to his wife and kids for being with him every step of the way.
Now, his world is completely turned upside down. He was booked into jail by LAPD on Thursday evening and was released Friday morning after posting $50,000 bail.
"Michael Ketterer, who finished in 5th place on this season's "America's Got Talent", has been arrested for felony domestic violence. Ketterer was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by the LAPD in Hollywood. Law enforcement sources tell us that he got into a fight with his wife, and when cops showed up they noticed she had a visible red mark.
We're told he was cuffed and booked for a felony because of the injury. Ketterer was released after posting $50k bail," reported TMZ.
Michael is denying that he beat his wife. He says it is all a misunderstanding.
"Michael tells us that the arrest was a big 'misunderstanding.' He admits he and his wife got into an argument in their hotel room and cops were called, but she told them she didn't want to press charges. Ketterer says they arrested him anyway, telling him the law's the law," reported TMZ.
This is a truly sad story. We will bring you updates as they become available. Please join us in praying for this family during this awful time.
