A dog owner was in for a big surprise after making a startling discovering about her recently purchased puppy. After noticing a few odd things about her growing pup, she found out that her new pet was actually a fox.
The owner, identified as Ms. Wang, paid close to $190 for the pet. She originally thought she was purchasing a Japanese Spitz puppy, which happens to look a lot like some foxes.
According to reports, the owner began taking note of how her new furry friend never barked and began growing very thick fur. She knew there was definitely something amiss when at three months the puppy would no longer eat it's dog food.
"The fur got thicker when it reached three months old. Its face became pointy and its tail grew longer than that of a normal dog," the owner said.
"Other pet dogs seemed to be scared by my pet so I walked it with a leash," she went on to say.
Ms. Wang said she went to the vet to have her "pooch" looked at after someone at a park suggested the animal was actually a fox. The vet confirmed that it was indeed a fox. The owner decided to give the fox a local zoo in order for it to have a better environment and proper diet.
