A woman is now dead after a tragic accident took place in New York state. According to reports, Rosemary Billquist has passed away after being shot while walking her dogs.

The incident took place in Sherman, New York. Rosemary was 43 years old at the time of her passing. She was reportedly shot by her neighbor Thomas Jadlowski, 34, after being mistaken for a deer.

Billquist had just returned home from work and was taking her dogs for a walk when the incident took place. After her dogs returned home without her, her husband knew something wasn't right.

"Deputies say she was walking in a field when a man hunting nearby mistook her for a deer and shot her once with a pistol," according to reports.

Soon after firing, it was reported that the shooter heard Rosemary scream in pain. First responders arrived on the scene but were unable to save her.

"The hunter heard her scream, called 911 and stayed with her until emergency crews arrived. Billquist was taken to a hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she was pronounced dead," according to CBS News.

The shooting is now under investigation and no charges have been filed against Jadlowski, who is reportedly cooperating with authorities. The tragedy occurred after sunset, making it illegal to have even been hunting. It also took place on private property and the hunter did not have permission to be hunting on the premises.

Please join us in praying for the family of Rosemary. We ask for God's healing grace upon her family during this tragic time. In other breaking news, a Hollywood celebrity has just been arrested on domestic battery charges.
