On Wednesday, September 19th, a shooting took place in an office building located in Middleton, Wisconsin. Initially, the exact location was unclear but local authorities later confirmed that shots were fired inside the office of WTS Paradigm, a local software company.
Four victims were wounded as a result of the shooting. On Thursday, a disheartening update was released: three of the four victims were reported to be in critical condition, according to KTUU.
One death, the suspect, was also confirmed. Police officers allegedly shot the gunman dead after he attacked the software company’s employees. An autopsy is scheduled to confirm the cause of death.
The suspect’s identity was not immediately released. However, police did confirm he is 43 years old and was an active employee of the software company at the time of the shooting. He reportedly opened fire from his cubical at random.
As of 2:00 PM ET on Thursday, a motive remains unknown. This story is developing and will be updated as more information is released to the public.
