One of the most iconic stores in the world is Walmart. The retail giant has locations across the nation and is famous for their "every day low prices" and deals. They even had stores across the globe!
For many Americans, Walmart is their "go-to" store for purchasing groceries. However, many are taking a close look at recent purchases after a disgusting recall was just announced.
According to reports, Walmart Canada Corp. is recalling certain batch/lots of Great Value Popping Corn due to suspected Insect fragment contamination and consequential risk of bacterial infection and illness as well as a risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health hazards.
The affected brand and the product number is located below: Great Value brand Popping Corn, sold in 1-kilogram containers; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates purchased on or before December 28, 2017, and with a UPC of 6 81131 76007 2, according to reports.
"Uh-oh. I had a hankering for some popcorn and picked this up as a quick fix to have in my hotel room. Do insects pair well with butter flavor? If not, I will have to deal with the bugs on the weekend," commented one customer on social media.
