Whoopi Goldberg had some extremely strong feelings on a recent episode of "The View." The iconic host opened up about the controversial "heartbeat" bill that was just passed in Georgia.

The bill has been making headlines around the nation due to the strong stance on stopping abortions once a heartbeat is detected. Many liberals were extremely triggered by the legislation. Whoopi held nothing back when discussing the topic.

“People don't remember that one of the reasons it became legal was so it could be done cleanly and you could go someplace which wasn't a back alley. That was the whole point. Women were being found in bathrooms. Women were being found in apartments that had been abandoned. When a woman decides she cannot do this, she does what she needs to do,” Goldberg said.

“In the old days, she did. That’s what she did. She drank Drano. She drank Tide with tea and coffee. Throw themselves down the stairs. So in order to stem that, they made this legal so that you could go to someplace where you didn't have that outcome,” Goldberg said.

Roughly a dozen other states have already passed, or are looking to pass, similar legislation. Hollywood liberals have taken to social media to address the laws. Many of them feel Roe v. Wade is in jeopardy.

Christians and conservatives around the nation applauded the news that abortions can not be performed once a heartbeat is detected. More news is sure to come on the topic and we will bring you the latest details as they come in.
