High school is never over! The Dancing With the Stars contestants revisited their prom night experiences as Stars’ Stories Week continued during the Tuesday, October 18, episode.
After each couple had their chance to take to the stage, the performers took part in a dance marathon challenge to win bonus point and the title of prom king or queen. The last couple standing were Jessie James Decker Alan Bersten.
Taking into consideration the judges’ scores from the Monday Tuesday episodes, audience votes the bonus points from the dance marathon, Heidi D’Amelio Artem Chigvintsev and Joseph Baena and Daniella KaragachThe bottom two couples of that night were. The judges voted for Heidi, 50, to be saved by Artem, 40. This meant that Joseph (25), and Daniella (29) were eliminated.
Before they performed, the stars shared some stories about their experiences with this classic high school dance. Artem, Heidi’s partner, revealed that she was the 1990 prom queen runner-up. Vinny Guadagnino,However, I had a completely different experience.
“When I think of a prom I definitely think of the jocks and the popular girls. I definitely wasn’t one of those kids,” the Jersey ShoreIn a pre-taped packet, the 34-year old alum spoke. He told his partner during rehearsal. Koko Iwasaki, that he didn’t go to prom. “[I was a]Little bit [of an]You can call me ugly duckling. That’s why my personality is fire and I’m sexy.”
Guadagnino was not without criticism from the judges, but he still felt proud of his performance. “If I did that at my prom, the girls would’ve been all over me,” he told cohost Alfonso Ribeiro. The MTV personality added that he has “nothing but love” for the judges. “Every time they give me critique, we go and do exactly what they tell us. I have nothing but love for them,” he said.
Decker, 34, had mixed feelings about paying tribute to her teenage years. “Up until my junior year of high school, I was definitely bullied a lot,” the country singer told her partner, Bersten, 28, in rehearsal, adding that she switched schools her senior year. After dancing the Viennese waltz, the “Should Have Know Better” singer said of the performance: “It was therapeutic for me, it truly was.”
