The White House has entered full holiday mode with Halloween right around the corner! On Sunday night, President Trump and the First Lady hosted Halloween for hundreds of children.

The First Couple was on the South Lawn from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and handed out candy. According to The Hill, the event included the U.S. Air Force Band playing holiday-themed music and children dressed up in a variety of costumes including pumpkins, doctors, Mario, and more.

Every year, the White House is decorated for the special event, as directed by the First Lady and her team. This year, the White House was decked out in a display involving pumpkins, moss around the pillars, and an orange carpet.

This year, parents and children were given tickets from the Department of Education and the White House Military Office. The children received candy and got to see a moon carpet from NASA, a tractor from the Dept. of Agriculture, and emergency vehicles from the Dept. of Health and Human Services.

What do you think about the decorations for this year's Halloween celebration? Let us know your thoughts! In other recent news, 20 are dead and 33 more injured after a middle school bus was swept away in rains. Please be praying for everyone involved during this sad time.
