The Full HouseStars, who had previously played Michelle Tanner, made an appearance in Passport to Paris – Our Lips Are Seated, Winning London Holiday in the SunAfter their time on the sitcom. Later, the siblings decided to leave acting to pursue fashion design.
Mary-Kate and Ashley founded The Row in 2007 and then retired from the spotlight when they became a major name in the fashion industry.
“We like working together and we like having that dialogue. I think it helps harden your ideas to be able to hear them out loud, to speak something through,” Ashley shared in a rare June 2021 interview with iD magazine. “You know, we definitely go by intuition and instinct and it can either confirm that feeling, or if we’re both not feeling right about something, for some reason, we just don’t do it. Our instincts are pretty similar. But I think what’s great is that we have each other to lean on.”
Mary-Kate offered a glimpse into their professional dynamic. “I think we’re very much perfectionists. We’re hard workers and we’ve always been hard workers,” she explained. “I think the reason we do fashion is to constantly try to fix our imperfections. Next season is your chance to do that. But it’s also our job to find every imperfection in there to make sure that we’re constantly pushing ourselves and training our eyes and making sure everyone is served. Just evolving and learning.”
Ashley said that Ashley and the duo had no plans to resign from front of the camera. “We didn’t want to be in front of it, we didn’t necessarily even want to let people know it was us,” she continued. “It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don’t have to?”
LaBeouf discovered a passion for directing and a desire to expand his presence on the screen. As a result, LaBeouf revealed that he has post-traumatic stress disorder.
“I was trying to earn my father. I was trying shake off Disney. I was trying to shake off blockbusters,” the Even StevensAn October 2019 appearance by the alum on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast. “And I was trying to work with people who f—ked with me.”
After being involved with various legal issues over many years, the California native thought about his declining mental health. “It was the first time I’d been told I had PTSD,” he added on the podcast, referring to his court-ordered rehab for a 2017 arrest. “I just thought I was an alcoholic, like, a true-blue drunk and I needed to deal with that. I knew it was an issue but didn’t know there was this extra whole other thing that was hindering my ability to have any peace in my life and my ability to deal with people.”
LaBeouf has had his first child since then with his wife. Mia Goth. In August 2022, the Disney Channel alum confirmed that they had renamed the channel. PearlIsabel was born to star and Star earlier that year.
