Matters Escalate for Wendy Williams’ Family After Filing for Divorce, Cops Involved

American talk show host Wendy Williams of “The Wendy Williams Show” has recently been going through a whirlwind of difficult life battles. After struggling with sobriety, Williams filed for divorce from her husband of 20 years, Kevin Hunter, after alleged rumors of his mistress giving birth to their baby.

Since news broke of their break-up, Williams revealed that she started seeing other people. In addition to trying to manage work and a dating life, she is also a mom to her and Hunter’s 18-year-old son, Kevin Jr.

Sadly, matters have escalated for Williams’ entire family — so much so that police are now involved. According to TMZ, Hunter and their teenage son got into a physical altercation that led to the cops being called.

An investigation of the situation has been initiated. Currently, few details are known but no one is facing any criminal charges at this time.

The argument allegedly started when the subject of “spousal support” was brought up. Hunter accused of Williams of “brainwashing” their son. Hunter eventually had Kevin Jr. in a chokehold, which he broke out of by punching his father in the face.

The former couple has clearly not been having a healthy divorce process. Recently, they also decided to dissolve their foundation — The Hunter Foundation — they started together, which focused on helping people who struggle with substance abuse, reported Page Six.

Please pray for Williams and her family as they continue to deal with these difficult circumstances. In other celebrity news, a well-known supporting actor tragically took his own life at only 42 years old. Read the details here.
