These past few weeks have been difficult with the ISIS bombings on Christians, targeting people’s faith and forcing them to face persecution for their belief in Jesus Christ.
President Trump discusses this persecution along with prayer, faith, grace and religion in this week’s Weekly Address.
Trump makes many references from the bible and mentions the wonderful celebration to ‘retell the story of God’s deliverance of the Jewish people’.
“Down through the centuries, the Jewish people have lived through one persecution after another and yet, they persevered and thrived and uplifted the world beyond measure”.
“This Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the promise of eternal salvation. It is a holy day of reverence and worship. It is a sacred time that fills the spirit of our nation with the faith of our people. America is a nation of believers”.
Not only does he address Judaism and Christianity, but says all religions can ‘follow their hearts and worship’.
