New Details Emerge in Tragic Virginia Beach Shooting as All 12 Victims are Identified

On Friday evening, May 31st, another tragic shooting made national headlines. A city employee allegedly opened fire in a Virginia Beach municipal building, reported CBS News.

Twelve people were killed and at least four others were hospitalized with injuries. Three of the four are in critical condition.

The shooter has been identified as “Craddock,” being described as a long-time and disgruntled employee. He died following an intense shootout with police officers who arrived quickly on the scene.

All 12 victims (pictured below) were named. According to CNN, 11 of the 12 victims were longtime employees: Laquita C. Brown, Tara Welch, Mary Louise Gayle, Alexander Mikhail Gusev, Katherine A. Nixon, Richard H. Nettleton, Christopher Kelly Rapp, Ryan Keith Cox, Joshua A. Hardy, Michelle "Missy" Langer, Robert "Bobby" Williams. The final victim, Herbert "Bert" Snelling, was reportedly a contractor trying to fill a permit.
