Much of the country, thankfully, was aghast last week when New York decided to let fully-formed and to-term babies be lethally injected on their due dates. Murder, thousands cried. And indeed, it is.

But now, a "moderate" Virginia Governor wants to take it even further. In a shocking and widely-spread interview, Governor Ralph Northam defended fellow Democrat Kathy Tran's bill that would allow a baby to be aborted while the mother is in labor.

Saying that Tran's comments were "really blown out of proportion," Governor Northam actually exposed the bill to be even more gruesome:

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he said in the interview. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

Basically, what that means is that a mother would deliver her baby alive, decide she doesn't want to have him or her nor give the baby to adoptive parents, and the medical team would kill the baby in some way. It's beyond heinous.

Thankfully, some strong voices are speaking out in opposition, like conservative voice Ben Shapiro. In a powerful op-ed, Shapiro writes:

"This is pure infanticide. It's also an argument for eugenic murder (see his comments about deformities). Northam is specifically talking about delivering an infant alive and then asking the mother whether the infant should live or not. This is not an argument about the morning-after pill. It’s not an argument over whether a fetus feels pain. This is a statement that a fully-formed infant, born alive, ought to be murdered if the mother says the infant ought to be murdered."

Even more sickening and shocking, Governor Northam has served as a pediatrician. Shapiro, a Jew, ended his article with a scary statement: "Simply put, the American people do not deserve the care of a benevolent God if they embrace such evil."

What do you think of Governor Northam's explanation of the proposed abortion bill? Share your thoughts (and prayers) in the comments please. We need to pray!
