Franklin Graham, Prominent Conservatives Fuming After Twitter’s Latest Faux Pas

Over the weekend, “Unplanned” hit the theaters. The movie, starring Ashley Bratcher, tells the “true-life story of Abby Johnson, a Planned Parenthood director who becomes a pro-life activist after witnessing a fetus struggling for life during an abortion at thirteen weeks gestation,” according to Breitbart.

On the night of its release, “Unplanned” had “surprising” numbers at the box office, reaching far more numbers than originally anticipated. On Saturday morning, however, fans of the movie were extremely upset with Twitter when the movie’s official account was suspended.

Many conservatives spoke out against Twitter, citing instances where the social media platform had allegedly discriminated against right-wing conservative initiatives in the past. The “Unplanned Movie” Twitter account was suspended, with a message saying, “Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules.”

Twitter finally restored the account hours after it had been suspended.

They said, “It wasn’t directly about the movie. To mitigate things such as ban evasion, Twitter will search for linked accounts when an account violates its Twitter Rules. In this case, on a second review, it was clear the account should not be affected by the other account’s suspension.”
