United Passenger’s Injuries Revealed, And They’re Worse Than We Expected

Video clips went viral this week of a United Airlines passenger resisting security officers’ efforts to remove him from a plane, having his face come in contact with an armrest, and getting dragged dazed and bleeding down the aisle.

The incident has sparked international outrage, especially since passenger Dr. David Dao was being forced to leave the Chicago-to-Louisville flight Sunday evening because the airline had some last-minute crew members they wanted to transport.

Now with Dao just recently discharged from the hospital, his lawyer Thomas “Tom” Demetrio is revealing the extent of his client’s injuries.

According to USA Today, the 69-year-old suffered a broken nose, concussion, two lost teeth, and damaged sinuses, among other injuries.

During a press conference Thursday morning, Demetrio said Dao told him he never wanted to see a plane again.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Demetrio is a high-powered personal injury lawyer. A lawsuit is expected.

Heavy reports that Demetrio has a very successful background in football concussion cases, a scaffolding accident that resulted in $75 million for its victims, Sept. 11 attack cases, and aviation-related cases.

Heavy also notes Demetrio recently listed his Lake Forest, Ill. mansion for $5.9 million.
