TV Star, Hollywood Conservative Defends President Trump After Charlottesville

After the violence that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia, the mainstream media and many on the left have been focusing more on bashing the president than on the violence that took place. The main source of outrage was over the fact that President Trump said that “many sides” were at fault.

While many Hollywood celebrities have been speaking out against the president, other conservatives have been making their support even more apparent. One such individual is Scott Baio. The actor has been supporting President Trump since his campaign in 2016.

After the president’s response to Charlottesville, THR reached out to members of Friends of Abe, a private group made up of conservative members working in Hollywood. While many refused to explain how they felt about the situation, Baio used it as an opportunity to show his continued support for President Trump.

Baio said, “I don’t give a s*** if I ever work again. My country comes first. I guess I’m just an old, angry, successful white guy who stole everything he has from someone else.”

When asked about the majority of backlash to the president’s Charlottesville response, the 56-year-old actor got heated.

He said, “I don’t give a s*** about Hollywood liberals. They’re gonna hate the guy no matter what. If he cured cancer, they’d be on him for putting oncologists out of business.”

He then added that his support for the president has only strengthened since the Charlottesville incident.

He said, “All this does is help Trump because people have had it. Conservatives in Hollywood have had it. We know who Trump is, and we don’t believe the propaganda, and I don’t think most of the country does, either. The media is almost irrelevant. It’s predictable and boring. I want the man to get his agenda through, and everything else is a shadow.”
