On Tuesday morning, TV host Wendy Williams passed out on live television. The former host of "The View" was in the middle of her segment on "Wendy" when she suddenly fainted.
As a part of the Halloween episode, Wendy was dressed up as the Statue of Liberty. About 48 minutes into the show, the host reportedly became overheated in her costume.
Williams was in the middle of a sentence and about to announce the contenders for the show's Halloween costume contest. Just then, she stuttered, stumbled back, and then fell to the ground.
Producers quickly cut the show to black and then sent it straight to a commercial break. The fire department reportedly responded to the studio, but Wendy was well enough to complete the show.
"The Wendy Williams Show" released a statement about the incident. They said, "Wendy is feeling much better. She overheated because of her heavy costume, makeup, and lights. She was able to finish the show in true Wendy spirit."
As Wendy re-entered the stage, she explained what happened. She said that she overheated in her costume and that she did pass out.
She added, "But you know what, I'm a champ and I'm back."
Below are the video clips of Wendy fainting and then returning to the stage.
Thankfully, the TV host appears to be in good health. Hopefully she doesn't have to wear the costume for the rest of the day! For other news, a "Tonight Show" guest was tragically killed in a car accident. Please be praying for his family during this difficult time.
