It seems like you can go home again. Television has been overtaken by returning programs, even if they are not long after being cancelled.
The list of TV revivals and reboots includes everything from sitcoms and games shows to dramas or cartoons. Some series, such as Frasier True BloodAlthough they have just been announced as such, others have already started airing like Saved by The Bell’s spinoff by the same name on Peacock.

Eleven years have passed since their last bow. Will & Grace, the show’s fab four, Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes Megan Mulally, reprised their roles for three additional seasons beginning in 2017.
However, reboots and revivals can be a mixed bag when it comes to fan loyalty or actor approval. When CharmedRecast with Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock Sarah Jeffery in 2018, the show’s original stars weren’t totally supportive.
“Charmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans,” Holly Marie CombsIn January 2018, Piper Halliwell’s character, Jeremy, tweeted about it. “I will never understand what is fierce, funny, or feminist in creating a show that basically says the original actresses are too old to do a job they did 12 years ago. I hope the new show is far better than the marketing so the true legacy does remain.”
Gossip Girl’s revival, which was announced in July 2019, on the other hand, seemed to have the majority of the former cast’s blessing.
“I think it’s exciting! Why shouldn’t it live on?” Ed WestwickDistractify spoke to Chuck Bass, the original CW series’ Chuck Bass, in April 2020. “It will be different and that’s cool. Each year I look back with growing fondness on those years. It was quite an adventure. Lucky guy.”
You can follow in Trade Spaces‘ footsteps, which returned in 2018 after a 10-year break, Chip Joanna GainesTheir hit series on home improvement has been revived. Fixer UpperWhile launching their own network, Magnolia Network in 2021,,
“This has been a labor of love, and we can’t wait for you to watch—stay tuned!” Joanna teased via Instagram in December 2020.
Reality shows include The Hills Jersey ShoreAlso, the makeover included fresh seasons. Plus, The Real WorldAfter a two-year hiatus, is returning to the stage.
