Trump Slams the New York Times, Teases Major Trade Deal

Early on Wednesday, President Trump took to Twitter, where he slammed the New York Times. In particular, he claimed that the mainstream media outlet was weak and ineffective in foreign policy.

"The failing @nytimes hates the fact that I have developed a great relationship with World leaders like Xi Jinping, President of China,” Trump tweeted, after returning from his five-nation Asia tour.

Thus, President Trump revealed that he prides himself on having an open and friendly relationship with countries throughout the world, particularly with China and leaders of other powerful nations. He doesn't understand why many in the mainstream media dislike that he has a "great relationship" with world leaders like Xi Jinping.

Trump has mentioned, according to The Hill, that he plans to make a "major" trade announcement after returning to the White House from Asia. While still in Asia, Trump remarked that a lot is happening during his meetings with foreign leaders on the subject of international trade. The "major" announcement will involve trading relations with China and South Korea, as well as other places.

The White House has not commented on the details of Trump's announcement. However, it is likely that Trump will attempt through another trade deal to convince China and other countries to buy more American products. This was a stated goal of Trump's visit, as well as to reverse decades of trade deficits.

Trump has already announced more than $250 billion in business deals with Beijing.
