Liberal comedian and late night talk show host Samantha Bee has recently been the center of a nationwide controversy following her vulgar remarks against First Daughter Ivanka Trump.
On Bee’s television show, “Full Frontal,” the comedian referred to Ivanka as a “feckless c***” and suggested she “put on something tight and low cut” to confront her father — President Donald Trump — about the current administration’s immigration policies.
Both Republicans and Democrats alike were outraged by Bee’s vulgar remarks. She later released an apology statement to Ivanka and admitted that her comments were “inappropriate and inexcusable.”
Despite her apology, her show lost two advertisers: State Farm and Autotrader. However, the majority of the public was still not pleased that Bee was able to keep her job after such horrible comments. Many compared her actions to that of Roseanne Barr, who was instantly fired from her reboot series “Roseanne” following her controversial Tweet about Valerie Jarrett.
Amidst the controversy, President Trump spoke out about Bee’s attacks on his daughter.
“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show?” Trump suggested. “A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!”
Previously, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also weighed in on the attacks. Read her bold response here.
