Over the last several days, tropical storm Florence has been making a detrimental impact on the East Coast. Ever since making landfall, the storm has taken at least 32 lives and endangered many others. Several rescues have already been conducted in the Carolinas and Virginia, and thousands of people are still without power.

Leading up to the storm, President Trump ensured citizens of the East Coast that he would do everything in his power to keep people safe and to quicken the recovery process. President Trump shared several Tweets about the hurricane-turned-tropical-storm and even made a surprise call to the mayor of one of the towns in North Carolina.

Since Florence made landfall, several people have praised President Trump and other government officials for their quick response and support during this storm. On Tuesday morning, President Trump took to social media to post a powerful video showing some of the Coast Guard's relief efforts in the midst of Florence.

He wrote, "Thank you so much to our great Coast Guard for doing such a tremendous job- thousands of lives being saved!"

President Trump also took to Twitter to talk about the amazing job that all of the response teams are doing with Hurricane Florence. However, he noted that at some point soon people will start complaining that it's not enough.

He wrote, "Right now, everybody is saying what a great job we are doing with Hurricane Florence- and they are 100% correct. But don't be fooled, at some point in the near future the Democrats will start ranting that FEMA, our Military, and our First Responders, who are all unbelievable, are a disaster and not doing a good job. This will be a total lie, but that's what they do, and everybody knows it!"

On Wednesday, President Trump will be heading to the Carolinas to see the devastation caused by Florence. According to CNN, he will visit Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, though it is still unclear which areas of North Carolina he will visit.
