All the liberal news outlets are rejoicing about Trump's latest admission on being President: "I thought it would be easier."
They are taking up quickly with Trump's honesty and writing headlines like, "Trump now agrees with the majority of Americans: He wasn't ready to be president" (Washington Post).
His words come straight from a recent exclusive interview with Reuters on the first 100 days of his presidency. Certainly it has not been easy, especially with the recent conflict with Iran, Russia, and most urgently, North Korea.
"I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."
Certainly Trump was a very hard worker in his previous life, so this comes with substantial weight. But yes, most Americans do realize the gravity of the job and many, for this reason, would never want it.
But that doesn't mean that Trump is not fit to be president. In fact, most presidents, if honest, would admit that the job is way harder than anticipated. Certainly everyone knows how presidents can come in with dark hair and leave with a head of gray hair just years later.
The job takes its toll. What is important for believers to realize about Trump's latest admission is that our President really needs prayer. He is facing huge issues of international and national security.
And though Trump is certainly not perfect (no one is!), he has a cabinet that is far more likely than would-be Clinton's to enact godly, pro-American policies.
The liberal news outlets are taking Trump's remarks to tell him, "Well, your position is voluntary. Why don't you step down!" But why don't we take the opportunity of Trump's humility to really pray for him! He needs it!
Here's our prayer: Lord, will You please help President Trump make wise decisions? Encourage him where he is downcast and speak to His heart! Give him health and rest and hope and peace. Please put Your hedge of protection around his family. Fill his administration with Your Spirit. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Will you post your prayer for President Trump and his family and administration in the Comments? Thank you so much!
