When it comes to campaign spending, Jeb Bush has parted with $82 million and Marco Rubio has spent $55. Ted Cruz has spent $22 million in paid advertising on his bid for Republican presidential nomination. But how much has Donald Trump spent?
According to The New York Times, just $10 million.
But here's the big story.
The New York Times also calculated how much free advertising in dollars Trump has earned from the media's rampant coverage of him. The number came to...just under 1.9$ billion. That's a significant margin over the GOP candidate with the second highest amount of free media advertising. Cruz came in at $313 million. Bush garnered $214 million, and Rubio got $204 million.
For Trump, it seems like there's no so thing as bad media coverage as he heads into tonight's high-stakes elections in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio.
