Trump Escalates His Rhetoric In A MAJOR Way In Advance Of South Carolina Primary

Donald Trump escalated his attacks on fellow Republican contender Ted Cruz to a new level.  On Monday, Trump lashed out at Cruz by calling him “unstable” and begging the Republican National Committee to intervene.

“One of the ways I can fight back is to bring a lawsuit against him relative to the fact that he was born in Canada and therefore cannot be President,” Trump said, repeating his misguided claim that Cruz is not a natural born citizen.

Scholars and Constitutional lawyers agree that Ted Cruz is eligible for the presidency because his mother was an American citizen at the time of his birth.  The lawsuit would only serve to hurt the Republican party as a whole and draw focus away from the real issues surrounding the presidential election.

“If he doesn’t take down his false ads and retract his lies, I will do so immediately,” Trump said in a statement.  “Additionally, the RNC should intervene and if they don’t they are in default of their pledge to me.”

Trump not only wants the RNC to intervene and silence Cruz, but he wants the RNC to disqualify Cruz from the Iowa victory and in turn hand the victory over to him.  “He apologized to Carson after the event, he should have apologized to me.  If Iowa had any guts, the people from the Republican Party, they should disqualify him from winning Iowa.  I really mean it.  Because what he did was a fraud.”

Do you agree with Trump’s criticism?  Or is he responding poorly when given a taste of his own medicine?
