The mainstream media has been unbelievably rude to President Trump since he took office. Reporters—especially those from CNN—have criticized and mocked him.
Now President Trump is getting the last laugh. Traditionally, the White House hosts a holiday part. However, according to Fox, he has canceled the party this year. The White House did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment to confirm the report.
The annual White House party for the media has been a tradition for decades. It was an invitation-only events where the members of the press interacted with the president and first lady, chatting and taking photos.
President Trump fight with the media this year include the White House's decision to revoke CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta's press pass after he refused to hand off his microphone and manhandled a White House intern. Acosta's press credentials were returned after the news network brought the case to court.
Melania addressed their feelings about the press in a new interview with Sean Hannity. She criticized them for the way they use their family to get ahead.
When asked about the hardest part of her role, Trump said, “I would say the opportunists who are using my name or my family name to advance themselves, from comedians to journalists to performers, book writers… The problem is they are writing the history and it’s not correct.”
The White House has not officially announced the party's cancellation.
