September 27, 2018Sep 27, 2018

Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, has been the subject of national headlines in recent days after multiple women came forward accusing him of sexual assault. Kavanaugh has denied all allegations.

Since the accusers came forward, a nationwide debate broke out with Republican and Democrats divided on who is telling the truth. Kavanaugh’s first accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, has received the most public attention alleging that the Republican sexually assaulted her three dozen years ago when they were in high school.

On Thursday, September 27th, a hearing in regards to the Kavanaugh debacle took place in Washington, D.C. The highly-publicized hearing began with Ford’s testimony, which you can watch here.

On the same day as the hearing, President Trump was scheduled to meet with Rod Rosenstein. However, the White House announced that the two would postpone the meeting until next week in wake of the Kavanaugh hearing.

“The President spoke with Rod Rosenstein a few minutes ago and they plan to meet next week," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. "They do not want to do anything to interfere with the hearing.”
