The Royal Family made a major announcement this week that concerns the United States. U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were extended an invitation to visit Queen Elizabeth II later this summer.
Mr. & Mrs. Trump reportedly accepted the invitation. This is the second time they will be visiting the Royal family.
“The visit will take place from Monday 3rd June to Wednesday 5th June this year,” the Royal family confirmed. “President Trump and Mrs. Trump previously joined The Queen for tea at Windsor Castle in July 2018.”
Previously, the Queen has welcomed other U.S. presidential leaders including the Obama family and the Bush family. The purpose of the Queen’s States visits is to strengthen Britain's relationship with other countries, according to the Royal's official website.
The Trump’s upcoming visit lands around the time of D-day, which is June 6th. Please stay tuned for updates regarding their international trip.
