Popular TV House Flipper Passes Away in Sleep at Young Age of 38, Family in Shock

The star of the popular home show "Nashville Flipped" has unexpectedly passed away. His brother shared the news that Troy Shafer died at the age of 38.

He passed away in his sleep on April 28. His brother, Tim, told TMZ that the entire family is in shock because Troy did not have any known medical conditions.

The coroner's office in Erie, PA confirms an autopsy was not performed on Troy's body. However, a toxicology report was performed and will be finalized in the coming weeks.

Troy had a funeral last week. He was laid to rest in a very small private burial for his family.

Troy rose to fame by saving, restoring, and flipping dozens of historic homes in Nashville. His show was featured on the DIY Network. Troy and his team specialized in customizing historic properties to fit the design of a certain era.

Shafer moved to Nashville with the dream of pursuing a career in music. However, he soon released that his skills suited him to restoring historic homes, so he started his business.
