Tributes Flood In After Death of Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens

On Tuesday night, July 16th, former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens passed away. Stevens, who was the third-longest serving Justice in the highest court, died at the age of 99.

John Paul Stevens was nominated to the Bench in 1975 from President Ford. 5 years prior, he was called to serve at a federal appeals court in Chicago by President Richard Nixon. 

Stevens passed away on Tuesday night in Florida following a brief illness. He is survived by 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
