The world of social media has simply exploded in recent years. More people are using social media to create their own careers than ever before.

One blogger even became famous online for documenting her own fertility struggles. Vanessa Fernandez Arango chronicled her life and her quest to become a mother. She suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2016 and in 2017. When she learned she was finally pregnant again in 2018, Vanessa was thrilled.

She used her social media accounts to document her journey through pregnancy and to also encourage other mothers who are struggling with similar issues. Sadly, Vanessa's story took yet another awful turn.

"On Sept. 2, Arango’s husband Jonathan Garcia gave a devastating update on his wife and their newborn son. Arango was 38 weeks pregnant when she began to experience pain so intense that she passed out at home. She was rushed to a hospital and underwent an emergency C-section, WPIX-TV reported.

It was during that procedure that Vanessa suffered a heart attack. Tragically, she did not survive. However, her son was born completely healthy and has since left the hospital with his father. It is a heartbreaking chapter in their lives.

"Garcia initially thought he would close his wife’s Instagram account, but later decided it may be beneficial to keep it open as a way to serve others, just as his wife had done," reported Western Journal.

Please join us in praying for Vanessa's family during this awful time. We ask for God's healing grace and love to comfort them both, now and in the coming years.
