Bomb Squad Reports to Republican Rep's Office After String of Explosives Sent to Politicians

Over the last few days, several suspicious packages containing potentially explosive devices have been sent to politicians around the nation. The packages were primarily sent to Democratic leaders, including the Obamas, the Clintons, CNN, and others.

On late Wednesday night, an unattended package was found outside of the office of Pennsylvania State Representative Tom Murt (R), causing authorities to believe it may have been connected with the recent series of suspicious packages.

At around 10 p.m., authorities responded to York Road in Hatboro to evaluate the package. It was left right outside of Rep. Murt’s office.

After utilizing a bomb-detecting robot, officials reportedly found that there was nothing to be concerned about and eventually gave an “all clear.”

While this specific package was not connected to the troubling explosive devices that have been sent around the country, it is extremely concerning that a politician would even have to be worried about receiving a package like that.

On Wednesday, President Trump and First Lady Melania each spoke out about the situation, pointing out that no violence should be shown toward either side of the political spectrum.

Please be praying for the situation that continues with the explosive packages. Pray for authorities as they investigate where they could have originated. In other recent news, Second Lady Karen Pence just stole the show in a sparkly blue dress.
