
Toddlers & Tiaras alum Kailia Posey has died at 16, the pageant queen’s mother revealed in May 2022.
“I don’t have words or any thoughts,” Marcy Posey-GattermanTLC’s reality TV show featured a lot of a mother and her daughter. “A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please respect our privacy as we mourn the passing of Kailia. My baby forever.”
Posey’s cause of death has not been publicly announced. A spokesperson for Washington State Police said that Posey’s cause of death has not been publicly announced. Posey was well-known right from her time Toddlers & TiarasIn 2016, she became a meme thanks to a viral GIF that featured her looking to one side and laughing. She continued competing in the pageant circuit up to her untimely passing, sharing photos of herself in full outfit, makeup, and hair via Instagram.
Posey won Miss Lynden Teen title in 2021 and she planned to compete at the 2022 Miss Washington Teen pageant. She shared the information via social media on January 20, 2022. Posey was also a beauty queen and appeared in the 2021 horror movie. Eli.
Gatterman’s social media has been filled with images of her late daughter in May 2022, sharing a photo of Posey beaming in a champagne-colored evening gown alongside the initial announcement of her child’s passing. After Posey’s death, Gatterman updated her profile picture twice: once, to a photo of herself with her daughter, the next, to a snapshot of Posey edited with angel wings, floating in a deep orange sky.
The TLC alum created an Instagram account just days before her passing. It showcased her amazing contortionist skills. She posted one video in which she almost inverted her body to shoot an Arrow with her feet.
One day prior to Posey’s passing, her mother shared on Facebook that the former reality star was set to “graduate with honors” in June 2022.
Gatterman was revealed in a 2016 episode Toddlers & TiarasPosey, who had been competing in pageants from the age of three, was extremely self-assured.
“She says she’s nervous, but once she hits that stage, she’s a pro,” Gatterman said of 10-year-old Posey at the time.
Posey is survived by her father and brother, Kyle.
