A well-known television actor, 52-year-old Timothy “Tim” Leigh Williams, was recently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Williams has appeared on “The Cosby Show” and “Law and Order.” He has also starred in movies like “Labyrinth of Lies” and “Ninja Assassin.”
However, Williams is probably best known as the “Trivago” guy. He is the television personality for the “Trivago” commercials, which promotes ideal booking for hotels and lodging.
Williams was reportedly arrested in Houston, Texas on Wednesday after being discovered passed out behind the wheel of his car. His foot was on the brake, while he was in a moving lane of traffic.
The television personality has condemned his actions. His spokesperson released an exclusive statement to CNN:
"At this stage, we do not have the full details of the situation, but we want to make clear that Trivago treats such incidents very seriously and strongly condemns drinking and driving, which poses a risk to others and goes against the Trivago culture."
According to CNN, he was charged with a misdemeanor DWI. His bail was set at $100.
Currently, few other details are known. This story is developing and will be updated if more information becomes available. Stay tuned!
