Christian sports star Tim Tebow has been making national headlines for several reasons in recent days. At the beginning of July, the football turned baseball player was picked for a 2018 All-Star team after having an outstanding record this season — a big step towards the majors.
In addition, fans discovered that Tebow is now dating Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. The two reportedly kept their romantic relationship under wraps for quite some time before going public; read more details about their new relationship here.
Tebow made headlines over the weekend again, but unfortunately, for a disappointing reason. Several sports news outlets reported that Tebow was injured during Thursday night’s game.
According to USA Today, Tebow was removed from the game in the seventh inning over having discomfort in his right hand and wrist. He was placed on the disabled list for the first time in his baseball career.
"I think there was one swing where he let go the bottom hand and the top hand finished his swing," Tebow's manager revealed. "He said that he felt something there. We don't know right now."
Thankfully, he is scheduled to see a specialist in New York on Monday, July 23rd. As of Monday morning, there has been no update on Tebow’s hand.
Currently, it is unclear how the injury will impact his baseball career. Stay tuned for updates.
Please keep Tebow in your prayers at this time! In other sports news, a beloved NFL legend sadly passed away; he was found unconscious before church.
