Tim Tebow Gets the Word Out for Urgent Needs in Florida

Following the devastation Hurricane Harvey left along the Texas coast, another hurricane is threatening U.S. grounds. Hurricane Irma is approaching the Florida coast and expected to hit South Florida on Sunday.

The nation is extremely concerned of having to deal with another tragic situation. Harvey left over 70 people dead and hundreds of thousands of properties destroyed— the thought of more lives being lost and severe property damage in our country is truly terrifying.

As Florida braces for Hurricane Irma, the state has an urgent need for volunteers. Tim Tebow, Christian sports star, took to social media to help get the word out for his home state. With his posts, he reached over 7,000 people.

Tebow is very outspoken about his faith and has given back to the community in multiple ways since his rise in popularity, including starting his own foundation. The Tim Tebow Foundation’s motto follows the concept of bringing “Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need,” which is the message Tebow is sending to encourage people to help, specifically in special needs shelters.
