Three people are in police custody and charged with capital murder after authorities say that they shot, kidnapped and and then r*ped a teenage girl, leaving her dead.
Friday afternoon saw the Jackson Police Department hold a press briefing, with Deputy Chief Deric HEARN announcing the arrests as well as details of the grisly crime.
Dewitt Anderson (34), Cedric Banks (37), and Kaymia Blackmon (19) are the suspects in the murder.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Tuesday February 15, when police discovered a female corpse that had been shot multiplely.
On March 24, detectives were notified by the coroner’s office that the girl had been identified as 18-year-old Amya Carey – a beautiful recent high school graduate.
Amiya’s family members said that Amiya was visiting Kaymia Blackmon, a friend she had made while she was with Dewitt Anderson.
They went to many locations that night and at one, the suspects tried to have sex in front of Amiya. The 18-year-old refused and rand began fighting for her own life.
According to reports, Dewitt picked up a gun and shot Amiya. This is why things became so dark. Amiya was severely injured and they put her in a car. one of them r*ped her as she bled to death from the gunshot wound.
Dewitt shot Amiya two more times and left her body on the roadside. Police claimed that they don’t know whether the teenager was still alive or dead when she was assaulted in her car.
