On Sunday, a deadly mass shooting took place in Sutherland Springs, Texas. A 26-year-old opened fire with his rifle at First Baptist Church, killing 26 people and injuring dozens more.

The shooter, Devin Patrick Kelley, walked into the church with his rifle and began firing. Shortly after, a local hero confronted the shooter with a gun of his own. Kelley then fled the church and ended up turning the gun on himself.

Now, more information is being revealed about the shooter and his potential motives. Additionally, information is coming out about the victims who lost their lives in this senseless act of violence.

On Monday, Fox News revealed information about some of the victims. Overall, 26 people lost their lives. 23 people were found dead inside the church, 2 were found outside, and 1 other died in the hospital.

Tragically, the youngest victim involved in the shooting was only 18 months old. So far, no further information has been revealed about the infant. Several other children were killed in the shooting as well.

The pastor’s own daughter, 14-year-old Annabelle, was one of the victims. Her parents were out of town during the attack.

Annabelle’s mother, Sherri Pomeroy, said, “We lost our 14-year-old daughter today and many friends. Neither of us had made it back into town yet to personally see the devastation.”

Overall, about half of the total victims were children. The devastation is difficult to grasp, and in times like these, we can only pray that God will bring an unexplainable peace that only He can bring.

Please continue praying for all of the victims involved in this tragedy and for family and friends affected as well. After the attack, a celebrity is now in hot water for the insensitive comment that she made.
