If you spend too much time tuned into the mainstream media and pop culture, you might have the impression that the world despises President Trump, his family, and everything to do with him. Yet, what First Lady Melania Trump wore and said on Thursday in Poland had people gushing.
The Trumps arrived in Poland Wednesday ahead of Friday and Saturday’s G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany and made a number of appearances. Meanwhile in Hamburg, riot police clashed with 8,000 sometimes-violent anti-Capitalism protesters. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, in fact, decided that the best way to serve America’s most populous city was to leave for a while and make an unplanned trip to Germany to protest Trump, according to the New York Post.
Away from the chaos across the border, Melania was radiant in a colorful sleeveless dress. Her navy blue number started conservative at the top before flaring into a remarkable sunset-like pink and blue pattern below wrapped by a faux orange and pink sash that began at her hips and draped elegantly past her knees.
And if that wasn’t eye-catching enough, she donned a pair of lovely pink suede court shoes to match.
But the First Lady didn’t just stun with her looks on Thursday. She had a crowd cheering with her words as well at a local science center.
Melania spoke about her husband’s focus on the safety of Americans but expanded the message to the whole world, saying, “I think all of us can agree, people should be able to live their lives without fear no matter what country they live in. That is my wish for all of us around the world.”
