Democratic Senator of Massachusetts Elizabeth Warren, who recently announced her 2020 presidential campaign, has recently been receiving flak over her decision to skip a town hall on Fox News. In a series of Tweets, Warren cited Fox being a “hate-for-profit racket” as the reason for her refusal.
According to CBS News, other Democratic candidates agreed to appear on Fox News for the sake of increased viewership. Senator Bernie Sanders appeared on Fox’s town hall in April; Senator Amy Klobuchar and Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg are also scheduled for a Fox town hall in the upcoming days.
Warren has, of course, been receiving backlash from the Republican crowd for her decision. However, she is also being targeted by the Left.
Co-host Sunny Hostin called Warren’s actions “dismissive of so many Americans” for opting out of the Fox News appearance. Joy Behar, who is a well-known critic of the Trump administration and other conservative viewpoints, even agreed with Hostin.
Whoopi Goldberg chimed in, “If you can’t face the Fox audience, you can’t face the [United States of America]. It’s that simple.”
