In a major shock, Ted Cruz has overtaken Donald Trump in a national poll for the first time this election season. But it may be too little too late for Cruz.
The recent poll was conducted by Reuters and according to Breitbart it is the first time in all of 2016 that Trump hasn’t been in the top spot. The poll showed Cruz leading Trump amongst likely Republican voters throughout the country.
The poll results show Cruz with 39% support. Donald Trump is in 2nd place and within the margin of error at 37% support. Kasich, the thorn in the side of both front runners with no statistical chance of winning the nomination outright, is in distant 3rd with 23% support.
