George H.W. Bush passed away on Friday, November 30. Sadly, not all of his children were there when he passed away.
His son Jeb Bush found out about his father's passing in a devastating and impersonal way. According to his brother Neil, he missed the call from family members on Friday, reported the New York Post.
“Jeb, interestingly enough, was asleep and turns off all his equipment at night so we couldn’t reach him,” Neil Bush said of his brother Jeb, the former Florida governor, while speaking Tuesday at a private Washington, DC, reception.
He continued, “[Jeb] woke up at 4 in the morning and turned on the TV and found out that his dad had passed away,” Neil said.
“But every grandchild and every sibling was able to tell our father and our grandfather what an amazing man he was," he quickly added.
Jeb Bush has yet to comment on how he found out his father had passed. However, he has been sharing things about his father's passing on Twitter.
He also tweeted after his passing. He wrote, "I already miss the greatest human being that I will ever know. Love you Dad!"
Our sincerest condolences to Jeb and the whole Bush family. May God comfort and guide them as they mourn their father and grandfather. In other Bush news, Laura Bush thanked Melania Trump for the "sweet" thing she did for the Bush family in their time of sorrow.
