During a campaign stop in South Carolina, Glenn Beck revealed something that he said he would never tell.  “I swore I was never going to tell this story,” Beck told the audience.

According to the Blaze, Beck broke his promise and revealed the real reason that he left Fox News.  “I was called into an office,” Beck said, “and I was told, ‘stop talking about God’.  I was told, ‘stop telling people to pray.’  I was told not to tell people to pray on their knees because there’s a lot of people in the audience, their knees hurt and I make them feel bad.”

The South Carolina audience let out audible gasps as Beck revealed that he was told not to talk about God.  “I was like, uh huh, wow, I thought I was going to get this speech at CNN,” Beck said.

Staying at Fox under the restricted circumstances is something that Beck was unable to do.  While he liked working at Fox, he was afraid of “losing his soul.”
