The Media Has Tried and Failed to Sell the Left’s Crazy Agenda

Anyone who is honest enough will know that corporate media have a liberal bias. This bias is more apparent in the topics they choose, than in misinformation. We all know the main narratives that the media wants to convey.

There is nothing more alarming than the notion that Republicans have become extremists, out of the mainstream, and even dangerous. There is certainly some craziness on the American right, but it’s misinformation of the highest order to pretend the eccentricities of the right even approach the outright radicalism the left is mainstreaming today. That’s the big lie the media is trying to pull off. It’s not working.

Many in the media are now openly advocating against fairness, balance, and objectivity for the first time. This dynamic is most beneficial to President Joe Biden. Even with a desperate press corps to support him, Biden is still soaring to historic heights of unpopularity. It’s hard to say he hasn’t earned it. The list of failures is almost too many to fit in a single column. The failures are often self-created by a belief in a fringe ideology that is at odds with decades or even centuries of mainstream American politics.

Biden opened the U.S. southern border involuntarily, so that the U.S. no longer has any control over illegal immigrants, weapons, or drugs. The U.S. government has no idea just how many people are crossing, but it’s in the millions per year.

Fentanyl and other dangerous drugs are being discovered at previously unimaginable levels. Fentanyl overdoses are on the rise. America has been openly discussing immigration for a long time, but truly open borders are a new phenomenon. Like all the left’s radical goals, this one is not sitting well with the American people.

Biden failed in his duty to fight the crazies of his own party’s crime policies. They implemented bizarre ideas like defunding law enforcement, getting rid cash bail, and not prosecuting convicted criminals. Many cities are seeing an increase in crime. It’s gotten so bad that even voters in liberal cities like San Francisco are starting to throw extremist left-wing prosecutors out of office. Voters, especially minorities, are switching to other parties because of this issue.

Many Americans were disillusioned by the decade-long war in Afghanistan. Biden gave Taliban security the withdrawal power, which let down all Americans. It cost billions of dollars in lost weapons, and more importantly, it resulted in the tragic deaths of many brave American troops, who had every right to expect more from their commander-in-chief. This one was so disastrous that even the support from the media corps was ineffective. It was completely indefensible.

Biden was a major energy advocate, but he helped to shut down the American energy sector to the detriment and thousands of Americans who work in the energy industry. Anyone who pays a heating bill or drives a car, suffered financial losses.

The end result was to empower Russia, China, Saudi Arabia and others to use energy production to harm America’s national security. There is no better example to show how ideology can be put above the needs of everyday Americans.

Perhaps most tragically, Biden pursued an economic agenda that drove up inflation to the unsustainable point it’s at today. His so-called American Rescue Plan poured billions of dollars into an already overheating American economic system. It contributed to record-breaking inflation.

Somehow, in the face of this tragic error, the president’s response has been to call for even more government spending. This may be the most difficult thing to reconcile with reality, despite all the ideologically driven absurdity of these past two years.

The press has done a lot to normalize Biden’s crazy behavior, rather than holding him accountable. It’s an impossible task. These policies are so inept, and often so radical, that they are difficult to market to the practical American population.

The coverage of West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin has been the most blatant example of a press campaign. Manchin has been resisting the excesses in his own party for nearly two years. Newspapers have published thousands of articles during this time, many of them fueled by leaks from the Biden White House and left-wing senators praising Manchin’s closeness to a deal for a massive expansion in government spending.

Manchin has consistently denied—on the record—that he was close to a deal, yet the coverage has continued and even intensified over time. Manchin has repeatedly pointed out the absurdity in massive new rounds of government spending during a time when there are booming deficits, runaway inflation, and huge increases in unemployment. It’s hard for any sane person to argue with this.

Biden entered the office with very little mandate. Democrats didn’t even win a Senate majority. Most Americans—especially those in West Virginia—did not vote to fundamentally reshape the American economy, to rapidly expand the federal government or to completely neuter the American fossil fuel industry.

This fact has been repeatedly ignored by the press. Instead we heard vaunted comparisons of Biden to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and because Manchin stands in the way of the left’s delusions, he’s been attacked repeatedly as an obstructionist.

The American public has rejected the narrative of the media. People can smell the madness. Many of these policies are too crazy for media spin to fix. The result is a president who is in complete freefall.

After the closest election, with no mandate to speak of and a close race for the presidency, an aging president convinced his young staff that Biden was truly historic and would usher in a period of historic left-wing reform. Even with a huge assist from the corporate media to sell this narrative, Biden is destined to go down as one of America’s saddest presidents.
