Amazing news was just reported out of Thailand! The 12 members of the soccer team and their coach who were all trapped in a flooded cave for 18 days were released from the hospital!

Throughout the entire ordeal, many lost hope for the safety of the young boys, ages 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old coach. The chances of rescue were extremely slim and it took 18 days for engineers and rescue teams to be able to figure out the perfect method for rescue.

The situation turned even bleaker when one Thai SEAL lost his life in an attempt of the rescue. Now, however, the world was ecstatic and thankful to learn that the entire soccer team and their coach survived.

The Wild Boars team members spent the past 8 days in a hospital in Chiang Rai in order to be tested and brought back to complete health. On Wednesday, they were finally released from the hospital.

The boys headed to a conference center in Chiang Rai where they were scheduled to give a press conference about their story with a global impact.

According to government spokesperson Lt. Gen. Sansern Kaewkamnerd, there were doctors, social workers, and psychologists present at the event to filter questions.

ABC News reported that the boys looked in good health at the press conference and that they all assured the media outlets that they were “just fine.”

One boy talked about when they first got trapped and said, "At the time we were not scared. We thought that the next day that the water will go down and then there will be people looking for us."

They also opened up about how they were unsure whether or not they would survive. When they heard people nearby talking on their way to rescue them, they said they thought it was a hallucination. One boy talked about the struggle of only having water the entire time, and another opened up about the 16-foot hole that they dug.

This several-week story stirred a global interest and now the world is cheering on the search and rescue teams, the coach, and the 12 boys who miraculously made it out alive!
