Texas mom, Michelle Booker-Hicks turned into a 2nd amendment superhero on the 4th of July when she rushed to save her young children from a carjacker. “I’m not a killer but I do believe in defending what’s mine,” Booker-Hicks said about the incident.

Booker-Hicks was paying for gas at a Dallas gas station when the incident took place. When she went inside to pay, her two young sons, aged 2 and 4, remained in the car. At that time a man, Ricky Wright, entered her SUV and attempted to drive off with her car and children.

Faced with such a shocking and disturbing event, Booker-Hicks didn’t hesitate for one second. She immediately went into super-mom mode and ran towards the vehicle, jumping into the backseat as the man tried to drive off.

“I proceeded to jump in my backseat and told the gentleman to stop, to get out the car,” Booker-Hicks recalled. “He would not get out of the car. He turned around and looked at me. I reached over the arm rest to get to my glove compartment and that’s when I fired at him.”

The fearless mom grabbed her gun, courtesy of the 2nd amendment, and shot the would-be carjacker in the face. Wright didn’t die, but the gunshot caused him to crash the SUV.

Lucky to escape with his life, the carjacker was arrested at the scene and faces a myriad of charges including carjacking and kidnapping.

Thankfully, Booker-Hicks and her 2 young sons were uninjured! Praise the Lord!
