Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick fired back at the Obama Administration today after their decree late Thursday that all girls' public school restrooms and locker rooms across America be opened up to males who "self-identify" as female. Pat McCrory, the governor of the embattled state of North Carolina, also slammed the White House today for what he sees as extreme executive overreach. But where has the Texas governor's voice been?
Right there with them. In fact, according to Click 2 Houston, Gov. Greg Abbott is promising Obama that Texas and North Carolina are going to join forces to fight back.
Yesterday, even before the White House's sweeping directive, Abbott was promising to support North Carolina in their legal battle with the U.S. Department of Justice over open bathrooms, saying, "I want you to know, I am working with the governor of North Carolina, and we are going to fight back. Our country is in crisis, and Texas must lead the way forward."
As a former state attorney, Abbot has a lot of experience battling the Obama Administration in court having done it about 30 times. Abbot is expected to release details of this new fight as early as today.
Do you want your state to join this battle as well?
